Young Person's Guarantee
The Young Person's Guarantee is a commitment to bring together employers, partners and young people. It will connect every 16 to 24 year old in Scotland to the opportunity of a job, placement, training or volunteering with employers committed to the Guarantee.
Overview
The ambition of the Young Person’s Guarantee is that, within two years, every person aged between 16 and 24, based on their own personal circumstances and ambition, will have the opportunity to study; take up an apprenticeship, job or work experience; or participate in formal volunteering.
The Guarantee builds on significant investment in education, learning and employability, it maximises existing interventions through apprenticeships, activities supporting the employer-led DYW networks, and provides additional opportunities and support in local communities.
For Individuals
For young people the Guarantee is about providing opportunities that will help them move into employment, with a no wrong door approach to make it as simple as possible to link young people and employers.
For Employers
For employers, engaging with young people can bring all sorts of benefits including growing your workforce, increased competitiveness and meeting skills gaps.
